Notes:
1.
Important.
Those personnel adrift/absent from today’s muster will not
be facing disciplinary action. A
defect in the Ship’s communications systems meant that many did not
hear the pipe about the reunion because they did not check the website,
Facebook, Navy News or keep in contact.
To avoid further disappointment, please ensure we all do our best
to keep me up to date of your email address/phone number and that you
contact as many people as possible whether you intend to come or not.
The success of the reunions depends on YOU!
2.
Ship Visit.
Unfortunately there were no ships available to visit this
time. Please contact T Blair, G Brown and D Cameron for reasons.
3.
Remembrance Day. The intention is to meet at Plymouth Hoe Lighthouse at 1030 to
attend the ceremony. It
goes without saying of course that this is entirely optional and all
should choose to remember in their own way.
4.
Next Reunion. The
next reunion is planned to be a “Booze Cruise” in Cardiff Bay in
June 2013. Please let me
know what you think of this idea over the coming months.
I will start planning in February if there is sufficient
interest. The next full
reunion will be in 2014, most probably my first as a civvy.
5.
Jammy Gits.
There will be an opportunity to win your beer tokens back in
a cash raffle to be held tonight.
6.
Apologies.
Apologies were received from David Nolan, Banjo West, Tim
Blamey, Mac Mackenzie, Helen Bainbridge and Steve Steels.
There were just a few others who I cannot recall at time of
writing. I either didn’t
hear from everyone else or they said they were coming and just didn’t.
Times are hard, lives need living, those of us here will drink
for them!
7.
Security. Please remember as you leave
HMS Drake that future reunions here and in other Naval Establishments
rely on our actions now. Please
leave directly and by 0130.
8.
Remember.
Keep me updated with your contact details!!
